Examples for integrations

FP Sign DATEV Connector

The FP Sign DATEV Connector provides a seamless integration between DATEV DMS and FP Sign as a digital signature platform. It is designed to support structured, process‑driven signature workflows while keeping the integration effort low and expandable over time.

The integration starts directly in the DATEV Document Management System (DMS). Relevant documents and associated metadata are retrieved from the DMS and made available for further processing. Users can then select the required documents and data that are needed for the respective signing process.

Once the selection is complete, an FP Sign session is opened via a secure link. This link brings the employee into the FP Sign user interface, where the signing process is prepared. At this stage, the employee can review, correct, and enrich the data, as well as sort and assign documents according to the specific business process (f.e.: contracts, approvals, HR documents, or client communications).

After preparation, the digital signature workflow is sent out directly from FP Sign. Depending on the use case, different process variants can be used, such as single‑signer flows, multi‑step approval processes, or parallel signing scenarios. This flexibility allows FP Sign to support a wide variety of organizational and compliance requirements.

From a technical perspective, the integration is intentionally designed to be simple at the beginning. Initial implementations can focus on basic document transfer and manual user interaction. Over time, the integration got extended and automated step by step. We've added pre‑configuring workflows, signature positions and reduced manual input. Automatic reminders and standard settings got added to automate more and more based on defined rules.

1. Selection

Selects documents and master data from DATEV. Switch to FP Sign.

2. Link opens

FP Sign UI opens an interactive link for the employee. Created by POST /api/rest/v3/batch-intents

3. Start

Employee configures and starts process. Integration awaits usage of the link.

4. Synchronization

Integration waits for signature workflow to finish. Documents are getting pushed to the DMS.

Microsoft Power Automate to FP Sign

The integration between FP Sign, Microsoft Power Automate, and SharePoint enables highly automated, end‑to‑end digital signature processes. It is designed for organizations that want to minimize manual effort and fully integrate signing workflows into their Microsoft 365 or a different environment.

The process starts in SharePoint, where Power Automate monitors defined locations for new document uploads. As soon as a document is uploaded, the workflow is triggered automatically. Required signature and workflow data is read directly from SharePoint, such as metadata, recipients, or process‑specific parameters.

Based on this information, Power Automate automatically starts the FP Sign signature process without any manual user interaction. The documents are sent to the defined recipients, who can review and sign digitally using FP Sign. All signing steps run according to the predefined workflow logic.

Once the signature process is completed, the signed documents are automatically stored back in SharePoint. At the same time, Power Automate sends notifications to employees, ensuring full transparency and keeping all stakeholders informed about the process status.

With this setup, several business processes can be fully automated, from document upload to final archiving. While the initial implementation effort is higher than with the FP Sign DATEV Connector, the long‑term benefit is significant: employees no longer need to manually prepare, start, or monitor signature workflows. Instead, the process runs automatically and reliably in the background.

This integration is ideal for organizations aiming for maximum automation, consistent processes, and tight integration with Microsoft 365 tools.

1. Await document

Wait for new document uploads or forms in SharePoint.

2. Link opens

Create signature process by
POST /api/rest/v3/batches

3. Sign

Employees and customers sign incoming documents and signature requests.

4. Synchronization

Signed documents are getting pushed to SharePoint. Employees receive notifications.
